ODS-7640 Neuroanatomy 1

Upon completion of this course students should be able to understand and describe the origins of the Nervous System (NS) (Histogenesis) and the microscopic anatomy of the NS. Students will also be able to define the origins, course and important aspects of the sensory and motor pathways in the CNS. Additionally, students will begin to understand the clinical manifestations of damage to these pathways. The course will begin the explore the detailed neuroanatomy of medulla and relationship with the auditory and vestibular systems. The course continues into Neuroscience 2 which will continue to study the anatomy of the brainstem, thalamus, cerebellum, basal ganglia, cerebrum and their connections.
