Amplification 2: Assessment, Selection and Outcome Measures in Hearing Aid Fittings This course will focus on all aspects of the selection and fitting of amplification. Candidacy, pre-fitting measures, real-ear measures, speech testing, and outcome measures will be addressed. Particular focus will be placed on matching patient characteristics and needs with appropriate technology. Best practice guidelines will be reviewed. After completion of this course, students should be able to identify patient specific characteristics that are critical in the fitting process, efficiently identify solutions, and conduct verification and outcome measures to ensure that maximal benefit is obtained by the patient.
