CLA-613A Cochlear Implants (Basic)
Cochlear implants are life-changing devices that require skilled clinical management for optimal outcomes. This workshop provides foundational training in cochlear implant care, preparing students to support patients across the implantation journey. Students will learn how to prepare for appointments, conduct objective and behavioral measures, and perform basic device programming. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making and integrating all components of the CI process. The workshop culminates in practical experience with standardized patients, allowing students to apply skills in realistic scenarios and build confidence for future cochlear implant clinical practice.
