Additional University Policies

Student Health Insurance
All full-time domestic students are required to demonstrate proof of health insurance each academic year. Students are able to demonstrate proof of insurance through a waiver process or enrolling in the Drexel-sponsored plan.

Immunization and Background Checks
Drexel requires all entering full–time students to complete an immunization record .

The prematriculation immunization requirement is based on the recommendations of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Health Immunization and the American College Health Association. You may satisfy this requirement by completing the Immunization Record, which includes all immunization requirements for entrance into Drexel University

There is a $50 University processing fee which must be paid by all students regardless of where the student receives vaccinations. This fee will be placed on the University bill.

Background investigations are required for all new hires (individuals who are not current Employees of Drexel) as a condition of employment, after the offer is made. Employment will not commence until the results of the background investigation are cleared through Human Resources.

Security

Drexel University complies with the Clery Act (1988). The security report is available upon request from the Office of Security.

Institutional Refund Schedule
Drexel University has established a tuition refund policy that allows a refund of tuition and fees when you withdraw from Drexel University or when you’re billed by credit hour and withdraw from a course(s). The refund is a credit to your student account and may result in adjustments to your financial aid. If a credit balance is created on your student account, the credit balance will be refunded to you.
