ODS-7330 Scholars Ocular Anatomy and Histology
The ocular anatomy and histology, covered in Ocular Biology I, form the framework for many of the biomedical aspects of primary vision care by presenting the gross and microanatomy of ocular tissues and fluids. The course provides the knowledge base in ocular tissue structure which enables the student to understand pathophysiological processes present in primary and secondary ocular diseases and congenital anomalies. Clinical correlates are an integral part of the course presentation. The course includes a laboratory component, which is designed to give the student an opportunity to reinforce classroom material through the utilization of anatomic specimens.
